At this year's Golden Goldys annual banquet, Bethany Hasz, a graduate student in the School of Kinesiology and track and cross-country runner for the U's women's teams, was awarded the Big Ten Medal of Honor, being one of the two University of Minnesota recipients. Also, Alec Basten, a School of Kinesiology graduate assistant studying exercise physiology and a member of the U of M's men's track and field team, was honored as a 2022 Big Ten Postgraduate Scholarship recipient.
